FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q:  What is your return policy?

A:  Due to the nature of our merchandise, we have an exchange only policy.  While we might look like a large business, we are actually a small business and we are not currently set up to process returns.

Q:  Does an exchange have to be the exact same price?

A:  No, the exhanged item does not need to be exchanged for an item of the same price.  However, the item being exchanged needs to have the original tags attached and returned in its original box.

Q:  When will my item ship? 

A:  We always ship orders out the next business day, after the order is placed.  However, sometimes it is possible that orders will ship out the same day they are placed.  All orders are sent out via UPS Ground unless another option has been selected during the checkout process.

Q:  How long will it take to receive my order?

A:  Unless you select an expedited shipping option, all orders will be sent out via UPS Ground.  For UPS delivery time, as a reference, please use the following link below:

Q:  What sizes do hats come in?

A: Most British hats are made approximately 22 inches in circumference (the measurement inside the opening of the hat). We do have inserts that can make the hat smaller. However, it’s a little bit more difficult to make the hat larger. Please measure your head, with a fabric tape measure, prior to ordering to ensure a proper fit.

Q:  Do you offer hand delivery?

A:  Yes!  We hand deliver to the Chicago area (including some of the suburbs).  Please contact us at customerservice@goldcoastcouture.com to see if we can hand deliver to your area.

Q:  Do you ship internationally?

A:  Yes, we ship all over the world via USPS International Express Mail, which takes about 3-5 days to reach your country.  However, please note that we are not responsible for any customs delays.

Q:  Does my hat/ fascinator come in a hat box?

A:  Yes, almost all of our hats are packaged in hat boxes.  Some are white cardboard boxes and some are travel hat bags.

The only exception to this are hats over 20 inches, which currently do not have their own hat box.  We are in the process of creating a travel hat bag-box for hats larger than 20 inches and would be happy to send you one once they have been produced.

Q:  Do you have parking?

A:  There is metered street parking on Oak Street, however it may be more difficult to find a spot.
